Задание 1. Перепишите следующие предложения. Определите по грамматическим признакам, какой частью реки являются слова, оформленные окончанием -s (-es), и какую функцию это окончание выполняет, т.е. служит ли оно:
a.показателем 3-го лица единственного числа глагола в Present Indefinite;
b.признаком множественного числа имени существительного;
c.признаком притяжательного падежа имени существительного.
Переведите предложения на русский язык.

Задание 2. Перепишите следующие предложения и переведите их, учитывая особенности перевода на русский язык определений, выраженных существительными.
Wheat, rye, oats and barley are cool-season cereals.
In American English breakfast cereals are called simply cereals.
Apart from standard tests for moisture, protein and ash content some empirical tests were carried out.

Задание 3. Перепишите Следующие предложения, содержащие разные формы сравнения, и переведите их на русский язык.
The replacements are more expensive than starch itself.
Cereal crops are grown in greater quantities than any other type of crop.
Today streets are not as clean as they were in the past.

Задание 4. Перепишите и письменно переведите следующие предложения на русский язык, обращая внимание на перевод неопределенных, отрицательных и указательных местоимений.
Take some substances from the demonstration table.
I did not see anything strange in the laboratory.
There are no people in the park because it is very cold.

Задание 5. Перепишите следующие предложения, определите в них видовременные формы глагола и укажите их инфинитив. Переведите предложения на русский язык.

Задание 6. Прочитайте текст, перепишите его и письменно переведите на русский язык.
Food
Food is any substance, usually composed of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and water that can be eaten or drunk by animals, including humans, for nutrition or pleasure. Almost all foods are of plant or animal origin. Other foods not from animal or plant sources include various edible fungi, such as mushrooms.
Many plants or plant parts are eaten as food. There are around 2,090 plant species. Seeds of plants are a good source of food for animals, including humans because they contain nutrients necessary for the plant´s initial growth. Edible seeds include cereals, legumes and nuts. Oilseeds are often pressed to produce rich oils, such as sunflower and sesame.
Fruits are the ripened ovaries of plants, including the seeds within. Fruits make up a significant part of the diets of most cultures. Vegetables are a second type of plant matter that is commonly eaten as food. These include root vegetables (such as potatoes and carrots), leaf vegetables (such as spinach and lettuce), stem vegetables (such as bamboo shoots and asparagus).
